The Dungeons of Strom
The underground region of Strom is riddled with a network of caves. Some are
natural, but many were tunnelled out by creatures who hate the light. The caves
are not all connected, but are divided up into nine different regions. Each has
only one entrance. These are some of their names.
The Sewers of Tssurg:
These are disused sewers (hence the smell in Tssurg). This is reckoned
to be the safest dungeon and it is usually full of dozens of budding
warriors, trying to prove themselves (but usually ending up dead).
The Lair of the Jabberwock:
The entrance to these is in the heart of a wood. Many creatures lurk there
that may be found nowhere else in Strom.
The Fortress of the Gnomes:
Here, the evil Gnomes plot the downfall of humanity.
The Catacombs of the Count:
This area was once full of monsters, but a Count recently led an army to
slaughter them. He is surely insane, as is made plain by his lunatic plans for
usurping good queen Belithaze.
The Caverns of Ice:
A powerful tribe once lived here but most were slaughtered by a huge monster.
There is said to be a hidden city somewhere in the labyrinth of passages.
The Dungeon of Dread:
Undead creatures 'live' here. The entrance is somewhere in the Kalamari desert.
Other dungeons are dealt with in scrolls three, four and five.
